The annual feast of Our Lady of Mylapore is to be celebrated at the St Thomas Cathedral, San Thome from August 17 to 26 this year.
On Aug.17, 5.30 p.m. the archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy will take part in the flag hoisting service and in the Mass that follows.
Novena and Mass will be held every evening through the feast days, with guest priests heading the religious service here.
The feast of Our Lady is on Aug 22 but the car procession will be held on Aug.25, Saturday evening with the procession of the decorated car starting from Dooming kuppam, close to the church.
