North Chennai artistes to perform at fest in Luz

Chennai Kalai Theru Vizha (previously known as Urur Olcott Kuppam Vizha) aims to present artistes from different parts of the city at different stages. Mostly, north Chennai artistes get a stage in Mylapore while artistes from side of the city perform in North Chennai.

Here is the schedule of the shows at Raga Sudha hall in Luz –

Time 6.15 p.m. – January 19 – 6.15 p.m.

Villupattu by Ennore Children. Gaana by Vyasarpadi Muniamma, Tamil Sufi Songs of Kunnankudi Mastan Sahib by Thiru Kumari Aboobacker, presented by Kombai Anwar, Fusion dance by Flying Bees dance troupe

January  20 – 6.15 p.m.

Tamil Folk Dance by Arunodhaya Youth Troupe from Korukkupet. Oppaari by J P Veeramani. Film director Pa Ranjith in conversation with achievers of North Chennai. Western Music by Anglo-Indian band “Ryan and the Undercovers”

    It is good that these folks are accomodated in the festival. But we have been seeing FOLK MUSIC and DANCE every year, from other parts of Tamilnadu
