On Tuesday evening, chief minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami arrived at Mangolai, Mylapore and campaigned for the AIADMK candidate Dr. J.Jayavardhan, who is contesting in the South Chennai constituency for the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
Before his arrival, members of AIADMK and its allies – DMDK and others gathered here with their party flags and raised slogans.
After speaking here, the CM’s caravan moved down Kutchery Road, Luz corner and Thiruvalluvar Salai.
Traffic was diverted from Mathala Narayanan Street, North Mada Street and South Mada Street.
There was a lot of chaos and traffic congestion at R. K Mutt Road and Kutchery Road from 6.30 p.m. onwards.
