Churches in the neighbourhood are preparing for the Holy Week services which focus on events that led to the condemnation, crucifixion and death of Jesus, leading to Easter Sunday.
This Sunday is called Palm Sunday, a day that reflects on the journey of Jesus to Jerusalem, hailed by the community, a journey that ended with his condemnation and death.
In all churches, priests will lead the community in carrying palms in a procession that leads inside the church this Sunday.
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday are the special services that follow down the week.
