Skits and dances mark Mahila Vidyalaya’s annual day

It was very difficult to say which programme stood out at Mahila Vidhyalaya Nursery and Primary School’s annual day. Every performance was almost flawless, be it the skit on Gajendra Moksham, or the play on Rumpelstiltskin or the Tamil and Telugu dances.

But there was one which really packed a punch. The skit which portrayed how the ‘Pancha bhootams’ report at court and complain about how they are carelessly handled by humans.

N. Sukanya, the headmistress of the Luz based school, says, “About 90 students, from classes LKG to class V, took part in this event which was held on March 21. Harakh Chand Golecha, secretary, G.S.S. Jain Vidyalaya released the school’s maiden bulletin ‘Ankur’. The first copy was received by the chief guest Mylapore MLA R. Nataraj. We hope to release a magazine from next year onwards”.
