For the past nine years, the members of the Mylapore Maharudra Sangam have been chanting Sri Rudra parayanam on Mondays at Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore. An athi rudra yagnam along with a varuna japam (for rains) by 121 rithviks will be held from July 18 to 29 at Kalyana Nagar Association, Mandavelipakkam.
