Metro Water and Corporation join hands to spread awareness about harvesting and recycling water

Metro Water and Chennai Corporation officials are working in tandem to ensure people practice rain water harvesting in the neighbourhood.

Metro Water’s assistant engineer of Zone 9 says, “Staff of Greater Chennai Corporation and our offices are conducting door to door campaigns on rain water harvesting. We explain the process to the residents and ask them to approach us with their queries. We also conduct rallies at schools to spread awareness.”

A rally was held recently at St. Ebba’s Matriculation School at Dr. R. K. Salai.

Says the engineer, “Residents need to know that grey water recycling can be done in small apartments too. That saves almost 50% of the water used.”
