Ken Juster, America’s ambassador to India who is on a visit to Chennai visited Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore this morning.
He was in the company of the US Consul here in Chennai and was guided around by scholar Madhusudhanan Kalaichelvan. Also present was the temple’s executive officer, D. Kaveri.
Kalaichelvan later wrote on his FB page that Juster, an architect enjoyed the tour and the grandeur of south Indian temple architecture.
Incidentally, the American Center and consulate complex on Cathedral Road is celebrating 50 years of its existence here.
