The M. S. Subbulakshmi ‘Voice of the year’ award, in memory of the legendary carnatic vocalist- guru M. S. Subbulakshmi, will be presented to a young vocalist at the finals to be held on Nov. 23 at The Music Academy, Alwarpet. The event will be hosted by The Hindu/Friday Review and SaReGaMa.
The competition is open to youngsters aged 17 to 27 years. The participants must record their voice in a CD and send it along with other personal details to SaReGaMa at T. Nagar before Nov. 9. For details contact 9884009020.
