Cinema Rendezvous, a community interested in world cinema is hosting the 2019 edition of the Bala Kailasam Memorial Award on Nov.17, Sunday at the NDFC’s Tagore Theatre located in the TN Music College campus in R. A. Puram.
The award is to be given to R. V. Ramani for excellence in documentary film making. Later, Ramani’s latest film ‘ Oh! That’s Bhanu’ will be screened.
The late Bala Kailasam, son of film maker K. Balachander was a film maker and producer in his own right and made a name for his TV serials and independent productions in cinema. This award has been instituted in his memory.
