Jiddu Krishnamurthy’s 125th birth anniv events: musical story telling in open-air at Vasant Vihar

Some 40 people enjoyed a fun-filled musical story-telling session at Vasanta Vihar on Greenways Road, R.A.Puram.

This event was part of the KFI Foundation’s celebration of philosopher J. Krishnamurthy’s 125th birth anniversary celebrations.

Derek Hook, a trustee of Krishnamurthi Foundation and Mike Walker, Jazz guitarist, and improv specialist from England presented engaging stories to the audience that mostly comprised children.

Derek used some percussion instruments to bring out the feel of the story. On display at the campus was a visual art exhibition – The ‘First Step is the Last Step.’

The exhibition highlighted the life and philospohy of Krishnamurthi through the visual installations.

There are installations titled ‘The Voice’ and ‘The Study’ where a visitor can listen to audio recordings of Krishnamurthi’s talks – in his voice.

The exhibition and events will be on till Feb. 8. At Vasanta Vihar, Greenways Road, R. A. Puram. Open to all.
