Suresh Store in Mandaveli was identified yesterday as a source of virus spread, with three cases showing symptoms. These people are members of the family which runs this popular store in Mandaveli Street and staff.
The GCC zone officer for Teynampet zone though is still to confirm the cases, source of contact and numbers.
Civic workers checked out the store and building and have barricaded the area. The street is by itself barricaded to prevent people’s movement.
Later, reports came in that the slum area around the stupa off the Canal in East Abiramapuram was locked down because a young man here was on staff of Suresh Store.
