Civic officials have started taking action against stores and food places who do not practice social distancing.
Reports have come in that an officer acted against a well-known store near Palmshore Restaurant on San Thome High Road because shoppers were overcrowding and not following regulations.
Some stores adopt smart solutions. They have hung boards giving their cell phone numbers, asking shoppers to call and pick up packs when informed – no need to stand in queues.
Other shops let in one person at a time; this takes some time but regulations are followed.
