Hospital at Andhra Mahila Sabha closes admissions for a week

Yesterday, after two doctors were suspected to be positive for the coronavirus at Andhra Mahila Sabha, R. A. Puram, the hospital there has closed its admissions for a week.

A staff there says, “There are currently three patients in the maternity ward out of which one will be discharged today. At all wards, we will not be accepting new patients for one week from today. The patients who are here will be taken care of till they are discharged”.

She continues, “All those who came in contact with the doctors were tested, the results are expected today evening. The entire campus was sanitized by Corporation workers yesterday and today morning (April 24). We are continuing to take the necessary precautions with respect to keeping the area clean.”

The residents of the senior citizens home at the campus have been provided masks and they have also been given adequate cleaning supplies, she says.
