To engage rasikas during this lockdown, Arkay Convention Centre in Luz is webcasting its concerts recorded between 2010 and 2015 on its Facebook page.
Every evening at around 6. 30 p.m., the centre puts out a classical music concert on its Facebook page – Arkay Convention Centre (ACC). Details of the concerts are also posted along with the post.
Arkay Centre is a multipurpose hall that has been hosting seminars, corporate meetings and music concerts for several years now.
Says Arkay Ramakrishnan, promoter of the centre, “Since lockdown, we have not been able to host any programmes here. Hence, to engage our rasikas, we are webcasting concerts recorded between the years 2010 and 2015. From March 20 to April 14 this year, we put out 25 concerts on our youtube channel. Now, to reach out to more people we are posting them on our Facebook page.”
He says that they post popular concerts of both young and established artists that were not webcast previously. “It has been possible because we have a facility of live recording and webcasting at our centre,” he says.
The centre plans to webcast its recorded concerts till May end.
