New virus cases reported

In the last 24 hours, virus-positive cases have been reported from many parts of the neighbourhood.

Community activist Bhaskar Seshadri reports that people in Malleeswarar Kovil Street near Bazaar Road, Madhava Perumal Kovil Street and in Muthuraman Street, Mandaveli have reported one case each. Also, four new cases are reported at Nochi Nagar.

In addition, cases have been reported from Karaneeswarar Pagoda Street, Police Quarters at Dr Radhakrishnan Salai, in Nochikuppam and at Kannilal Street off Gomathi Narayana Street in Mylapore.

A Chennai Corporation official, who administers the civic activities in these areas gave the following information regarding these cases.

At Karaneeswarar Pagoda Street, a 46-year-old man has tested virus-positive.

At Police Quarters at Dr Radhakrishnan Salai, a 29-year-old man has turned positive for the virus.

At Kannilal Street, a 26-year-old woman has tested virus-positive.

At Nochikuppam, a 24-year old woman tested virus-positive.
