Tamil Nadu government announces Rs 2000 Dole for barbers who have lost their livelihood due to lockdown

To help barbers who have lost their livelihood due to lockdown, the Tamil Nadu government has announced Rs 2000 dole as relief assistance for barbers who are not registered with the Tamil Nadu Hair Dressers Welfare Board.

Said a press release issued by the state government, “In order to claim the assistance, barbers will have to approach their district administration and submit a petition seeking relief assistance.”

The officials will then verify the details submitted by the barbers and upon recommendations provided to the district collectors, the payment will be given.

A detailed guideline on this will be issued by the revenue administration department

The government has also issued assistance to barbers registered in Tamil Nadu Hair Dressers Welfare Board.
