In the past 24 hours, 3 new virus cases – one each has been reported at New Street, Muthukrishnan Street and Appu Street.
Chennai Corporation officials who govern the civic activities of these areas confirmed this information.
At New Street, a senior woman has tested virus-positive.
At Appu Street, a 25-year-old man residing at C block of Shanthi Flats has tested positive. At Muthukrishnan Street that runs off Appu Street, one youngster has tested positive for the virus.
