TN Class X State Board exams: this Corpn. school is wondering how students can attempt and do well

An announcement was made by school education minister K. A. Sengottaiyan on Tuesday that the exams for students of Class X would be held in the first two weeks of June.

The principal of the Chennai High School at Sringeri Mutt Road, R. A. Puram, J. Dhanamal says, “We have received the schedule. The exams will be held every other day. We are still waiting for further instructions on social distancing norms. Several of our students had left their books here at Chennai and had gone to their native place. We have been contacting them and have been asking them to come here as soon as possible and start revising. With buses not plying, the students are not sure how they will be able to make it here. They have said that they will start looking for alternate transportation”.

She says she hoped that the students would have atleast ten days of time after schools reopened to revise the syllabus with their teachers. “Many students would have forgotten most of what they learnt and they could have gone into a holiday mood. Bringing them back and making them study without the school reopening is certainly going to be a challenge”.
