Some schools ‘open’ new academic year, online. Issue guidelines for online classes.

If you were not aware: a number of schools in Mylapore have formally opened their new academic year for 2020-2021 on June 1.

These schools mailed / WhatsApp-ed the information to all parents last week and also shared a set of guidelines their wards must now follow when online classes are held.

This includes being dressed in the school uniform for classes, mark attendance, not move away from the computer during the class session.

‘Use of headphone is a must’, said one of the guidelines from Rosary Matric Girls School, San Thome.

Classes are being held mostly in the mornings and this is causing much headaches at many a home where the parents have more than one child – computers cannot be shared in the circumstances and new accessories have to be bought.
