In connection with the 2020 Madras Day events, Mylapore Times is hosting a contest for Chennai school students. It is in English.

Every year, in August various groups, clubs, organisations and individuals get up events like heritage walks, talks, contests, quizzes, shows and more to focus on the city people call Madras and Chennai. On its history and heritage, people and communities, issues and movements.
