The Lazars of San Thome who launched a home-based food catering service to tide over the economic gloom of recent times, are now extending their services to the Adyar-Thiruvanmiyur areas.
Appayee’s Kitchen, as this business is called now focuses mainly on non-vegetarians dishes offered at lunch time.
For example, the menu for Wednesday was Aatukal kuzhambu, Chettinad chicken fry and beef fry. Prices range in the Rs.150 – 175 bracket.
While delivery is free in the San Tome – Mandaveli zone, they charge Rs.30 extra for delivery in Adyar, Besant Nagar and Thiruvanmiyur.
Orders must be placed by 9 am for the day since the food is cookcd fresh and in small quantities, says Agnes Lazar.
