Skanda Shasti at Sri Kapali Temple: Soorasamharam and Thirukalyanam to be streamed live on temple’s Youtube channel

Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore will be live streaming Skanda Shasti’s two most important festivities – Soorasamharam and Thirukalyanam on its Youtube channel, this year. The festival devoted to lord Muruga started at the temple, a few days ago.

Soorasamharam is scheduled on Nov. 20 at 7. 30 pm. And Thirukalyanam will take place on Nov. 21 at 7 pm.

In view of the pandemic, Soorasamharam that usually takes place at North Mada Street, Mylapore will take place inside the temple.

Said a temple staff, “To prevent virus spread, we will be organising Soorasamharam inside the temple, just near the temple office.”

He says that the public will be allowed inside the temple to view the festivities in a regulated manner. “We will ensure that crowding does’nt take place.”
