Charsur Arts Foundation, Chennai is taking its annual December Season music festival online this year for obvious reasons – the pandemic time condition.
So, from Dec.15 to 30, thirty top ranking artistes’ concerts will be streamed online, two a day. The artistes include Gayatri Venkataraghavan, Amrita Murali, Bharat Sundar and R. K. Shriram Kumar.
Charubala N. of Charsur says that she was keen to host the music fest despite the pandemic conditions and online was the best option. The theme is ‘Shakthi’ and save for a few songs, none that are performed have been repeated.
Suresh Gopalan of Charsur says that his team chose to follow all regulations while recording and that the audio and video quality ( shot on 4K) is of the highest quality.
The concerts were recorded at the Rukmini Arangham at Kalakshetra campus in Chennai.

Those who wish to listen / watch the Charsur music festival series of December will need to buy tickets and get a passcode to get access to the webcasts – the facility is available to them till January 2021 and the concerts can be viewed at any time once they are put out.
