Sri Saibaba temple in Mylapore is buzzing with activity as dozens of people are dropping in here, to get a darshan of their favourite deity on the new year day. The temple has also been beautifully decorated with pandals and banana trees.
Although, all devotees are wearing masks, social distancing is not followed by many.
Outside the temple, on Venkatesa Agraharam Road, hawkers are selling everything from flowers, and pooja items to toys and clothes.
Local police have also been deployed here to regulate the traffic.
