Chief minister awards musician Viswas. Spoorthi Rao gets national award.

Viswas,  a former P. S. Senior student who won the first place in Kala Utsav, a national level contest organized by MHRD in the music instrumental category for the year 2019 – 2020 was felicitated and given a cash prize of Rs.25,000 by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Vishwas has been learning mandolin for the past 10 years and he is a student of gottuvadyam exponent Allam Shri Durga Prasad. He was a member of the school’s orchestra.

For the consecutive year, a student from P. S. Senior won the first prize in Kala Utsav contest, Spoorthi Rao of Class X (2020 – 2021) a talented upcoming artiste secured the first place in the national level competition under Carnatic music category.

Spoorthi has been learning Carnatic music from Ranjani and Gayatri since 2015. She is a member of our school’s orchestra.
