Velachery constituency candidate Santhosh Babu of MNM has declared that he has contracted the virus, is now getting treated at King’s Institute and will campaign online.
This was his Facebook post some 13 hours ago;
‘I wish to inform my Velachery voters that I contracted COVID. How unlucky I am! I really want to meet with all of you and seek your blessings and votes. We will be going on a hyper digital campaign and my teams will come and meet with you also. Do vote for MNM and me!’
Babu quit the IAS service and joined MNM some time ago.
Areas like south edge of R A Puram, MRC Nagar and around fall under Velachery.
