Two Amma Clinics, a project launched some months ago by the chief. minister have opened in two places in the area – one in San Thome and the other in R. A. Puram.
The San Thome clinic is near the Nilgiris store and Palmshore restaurant. The one in R. A. Puram is on Kamaraj Salai, south end.
These clinics take care of the basic health and medical problems of the poor, administer simple medicines and help refer people with serious issues to state-run hospitals.
Open from 8 am to noon, 4 to 8 pm daily, closed on Saturday.
