Tank of Sri Kapali Temple bone dry, almost

The bed of the sprawling tank of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore is bone dry, almost.

Save for a thin sheet of water in one far corner of the tank, the bed is already showing up the parched earth.

There was just that much water when the Panguni utsavam was celebrated at the temple recently.  And in the heat of 35 degrees plus, even the thin sheets of water are evaporating.
