A 50-bed Covid Care Quarantine Centre is coming up at Ethiraja Kalyana Mantapam on TTK Road. This facility intends to support patients who may need mild oxygen support at this time. The service will be offered free now.
Work is going on here at a good pace and a partial facility with about 8/10 beds will opened top of next week.
Mylapore MLA Dha. Velu is driving this project.
ICARE Multi-Speciality Clinic based on C P Ramaswamy Road in Alwarpet is supporting the MLA too.
“The MLA is setting up this centre and we intend to equip at least 25 beds with oxygen concentrators. We intend to crowd source the same through public donations,” says Dr. Karthick Sridhar, co-founder, ICARE Multi-Speciality Clinic
ICARE has committed to provide the first 5 units. 20 more are needed and donations are welcome now.
Oxygen concentrators are available in 5 litres, 7 ltrs and 10 ltrs and prices start from Rs.65,000. The team behind this project intends to ask the state to suggest a good, dependable vendor to source these.
One bed would need a 5 ltr concentrator. a 10 ltr can be shared by two beds.
