New smart cards for state-supplied rations are being issued this week at the zone office of the TN Civil Supplies Corporation in Mylapore.
The issue began on Monday and staff here say that they have over 1000 cards to distribute and due to pandemic regulations, are calling for limited numbers to queue up for the smart cards. But people in the queue have to endure the sun though the queue seems to move steadily.
This office is located in a shopping complex on Venkatesa Agraharam Road, near Saibaba Temple.
Applications for new cards can be made and this is wholly online. You can apply even in case your card is damaged or lost. Go to www.tnpds.gov.in
