Mylapore boy wins ‘Arrivukalanjiam Award’

Arrivukalanjiam award for children 2010 was awarded during children day. It was organised by MTS Academy – Mylapore, Nehru Yuva Kendra (Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs) – New Delhi and Bank of Baroda.

J. R. Mugil Vanjinath, a student of class V from P. S. Senior Sec. School Mylapore won the ‘Arrivukalanjiam Award 2010’ under the group B category (Classes IV to VI).

This is the second time that he has won this award. The previous time was in 2008 when he was in Class III.

The competition is conducted annually and has been drawing students from all over south India.

Each student participate in ten competitions on a single day. The highest scorer in all ten competitions is awarded the title and a cash prize.

The chief guest at the event was former judge of Supreme Court, Justice Mohan.

  1. please note this error. Justice Mohan was a former judge of the supreme court of India and not a former chief Justice of the SC as given.

    could this not be published in the printed version of the mylapore times? not everyone can access your paper online!!!
