Remembering the Sage of Kanchi: At Bhavans on Jan 8

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is organising a ‘Shraddhanjali’ to Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal on Jan 8 at its premises at East Mada Street, Mylapore. The event will start off with a veda parayanam. Two books titled ‘Thirukkural – an abridgement of sastras’ by Dr. R. Nagaswamy and ‘Samadarsan’ by Mohan Nagaswamy will be released by Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.

N.C. Sarbeswaran, trustee, Veda Pata Nidhi Trust, Vedantam, president, Viswa Hindu Parishad, Tamilnadu, Gariyali, former secretary to The Governor of Tamilnadu, C.L. Ramakrishnan, former I.G.P, Tamilnadu and member of parliament Ela Ganesan are the guests at this event. An anugraha bashanam will be given by Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal later. At 5.30 p.m.
