Indian Post Payments Bank: An awareness rally held

To spread awareness about Indian Post Payments Bank launched by the prime minister of India,  Narendra Modi, on Sep 1, a public rally was conducted recently from the head post office at Mylapore to Nageswara Rao Park, Mylapore.

The rally was flagged off by K. N. Ramaswamy, director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Pamphlets were distributed to passersby and placards highlighting the features of the bank were displayed.

It is good to know of India Post Payment Bank wherein one can send or receive money thro electronic tranfer.In fact last week i was trying to send money to my account at PostOffice from a bank account in R.A.Puram. But could not do so due to the fact that P.O did not have have IFSC..But the payment bank would be having the code no I believe..Ramu Purushothaman
