This is a call for donations. Small ones.
Baskar Seshadri of Abiramapuram has been offering tea and a biscuit to some 200 civic and health workers and police men and women every morning for over 3 weeks now.
He started doing this on his own, then roped in a tea seller to join him in his drive that takes him to Alwarpet, Mylapore and San Thome.
Baskar has stretched himself a bit but he says this is a simple service to frontline workers who do not find teashops open for a hot cup of tea.
But he has run out of funds though he received a stream of donations. So he is asking Mylaporeans to donate for this cause – call him at 9841033888. You can donate via GPay ( Google Pay) – say ‘Tea Donation’ in subject line.
Baskar has posted online all his donations to be transparent.
