Residents of San Thome area complain of ‘erratic’ Metrowater supply

Residents of some streets in San Thome continue to complain of poor or nil supply of water by Metrowater.
Residents of Venkataswamy Lane and Venkataswamy Street in San Thome say in an e-mail that they are getting reduced for the past 7 days.
Said Benny Thomas, “We suffer this when all the newspapers  are publishing news on the adequate water storage in most of the reservoirs which supply water to Chennai city.”

Benny whose house is near Muthu Street (9444993162 ) says the ground water in these two streets is ‘very salty’. He adds, “We have complained on the CMWSSB web portal; but there is no reply/ response from them.”
Earlier, residents off Lynn Pereira Street complained and Metrowater engineers said supply in San Thome was good; when pressed they admitted to a local problem and attended to it.
