Fine arts promoter his and once chairman of Kartik Fine Arts sabha, L. Sabaretnam passed away last night. He was 80 and resided in Besant Nagar.
He was president of Kartik Fine Arts for many years and headed a few other cultural bodies like Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan; during his tenure he was seen often attending events at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.’
He was also a senior management officer, heading Coromandel Sugars among other assignments and was also involved with India Cements and Chennai Super Kings as a senior honcho.
