Sri Kapali Temple’s Navarathri utsavam expected to be grand

The Navarathri utsavam is expected to be grand this year at the Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple with the kolu decoration likely to delight the devotees, the temple executive officer D Kaveri told Mylapore Times on Monday.
“There will be interesting kolu idols this year that will capture the imagination of the devotees,” Kaveri said.
On all the evenings, Karpagambal will be at the Navarathri mandapam and the devotees, like last year,
will be able to have darshan except during the Friday to Sunday days when people cannot access the temnle due to current pandemic rules.
Kaveri also said that there is no change in the current schedule to allow devotees inside the sannidhis other than on Tuesday and that during the Navarathri utsavam devotees will be able to have darshan of the moolavar idol only fromĀ  outside the sannidhi except on Tuesday.
On the first and last day of the utsavam, Karpagambal will go on a procession inside the temple complex.
