Scores of pandals have come up on streets that lead out of the Sri Kapali temple zone to provide people headed to the ther and the arabathumoovar celebrations on Wednesday and Thursday at the temple.
These pandals are also up in Alwarpet, Abhiramapuram, Mandaveli and R A Puram. They have been put up by local community groups, auto drivers and clubs. They serve water, buttermilk and even rice on Thursday.
Pandals will also come up on the edge of the temple tank. Some people are concerned with the tendency of people to throw had eaten snacks and rice on streets.
