TN Music & Fine Arts varsity introduces courses in film making, design and film music

 

Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University which has its headquarters in the Music College campus in R. A. Puram has announced a slew of new courses. These include courses in film making and fashion design. These will be offered at the UG level.

A integrated  six-year course in BFA – fine arts (heritage conservation) and MFA – heritage conservation – is also to be introduced. A PG Diploma course in film music is also to be launched.

E. Gayathri, vice chancellor and well-known veena artiste said that the syndicate has also granted affiliation to many colleges which will now offer these courses. A few institutes are also affiliated to this varsity now.

The varsity seems to be widening its scope, moving from the core classical music and dance and folk arts domain to other related fields in order to make itself relevant to the times.
