Bharatanatyam guru Anitha Guha’s Bharathanjali celebrated their anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 23rd at Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Mylapore. The event coincided with the birth anniversary of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The chief guests for the evening were Carnatic vocalist Neyveli Santhanagopalan and Prof N.S Jayalakshmi of Kalakshetra. Several distinguished people from the field of arts were felicitated with titles.
The awardees were Dr. Ambica Buch, Dr. Lakshmi Ramaswamy, Dr. Aruna Mohanty, KS Balakrishnan, Chitra Mahesh, Eashwar Ramakrishnan, Chinmaya Sisters, Archana and Arathi, Team Kalavardhini, Akhila Krishnamurhty (Aalaap) and Krishnan and Sons. The evening also featured performances by students of Bharathanjali. Arangetram certificates were awarded to the students.
