Maintenance work is on at Jain temple on Kutchery Road, Mylapore. Says Ashok, a member of the Jain community, “This is a regular maintenance work that is undertaken every year.”
For the past few days, men are polishing the marble walls of the temple. Said a worker at the site, “We use special stones to polish each part of the wall.”
He says that it takes many weeks to complete polishing the entire temple.
