Donate veggies for C.S.I School for the Deaf in San Thome

C.S.I. school for the Deaf on San Thome High Road is in need of veggies to cook food for the vocational training students at its hostel.

Following lockdown, most of the students of this school left to their native places. However, some 20 couldn’t go due to lack of bus/train services. Since then the school has been finding it difficult to procure provisions and veggies for them.

Says Latha, in charge of the vocational training unit of this school, “One person donated us few veggies after reading an article from Mylapore Times newspaper. That helped us for a while. We are very thankful for the newspaper and the donor.”

However, Latha says they continue to face problems in procuring veggies. Latha says, “We are unable to step out to buy veggies. And as the school’s administration department is closed, we do not have funds to buy things for these children. It will be really helpful if people can donate some vegetables and snacks that would suffice us till May 3.”
