With the virus wave in full force and the lockdown restrictions in May 2020, the Vaikasi Brahmotsavam
could not be held at the Vedantha Desikar Srinivasa Perumal Temple last year.
As the Brahmotsavam did not take place as per schedule, the temple will be organising a one-day Laghu Prayaschitham this Friday ( May 7) with minimal staff inside the temple.
Following this, the temple will conduct this year’s Vaikasi Brahmotsavam for Srinivasa Perumal starting next
Friday (May 14). This too will take place inside the temple.
As per the current restrictions, street processions are not allowed and devotees are not permitted inside the temple.
