Actor-producer S. V. Shekher has been recycling his Thamizh plays online for some time now, all online. And invites people to lighten their moods for a small fee.
This weekend, his popular play ‘ Yaamirukka Bayam Yean’ has been streaming and the schedule for the next few weeks is posted on www.bookmyshow.com.
Shekher says he is receiving appreciable response to all the web-streamed plays.
“For Rs.150 they pay, a family can watch the play on any device they have at home and we allow a window of 24 hours for access so they can run it multiple times,” he says. Each play is played only on the weekend.
A variety of Shekher’s plays which were recorded and fine-tuned have been uploaded and Bookmyshow manages the streaming and revenue generation.
