Huge mounds of waste in the open spaces between residential blocks in Nochi Nagar, off Marina’s Loop Road are now being cleared by teams of Urbaser Sumeet, the agency which is contracted to clear garbage in some parts of the city.
Mylapore’s MLA, Dha. Velu says that he has listed a few places in his zone where waste has mounted and has not been cleared for a long time.
He says he briefed the Urbaser team which is now at work in the colony in San Thome.
