J. S .Jeyakarthi, a writer. film maker and yoga trainer from East Abiramapuram has an appeal to Urbaser Sumeet – please move away a garbage bin placed outside the fence of the tank of Sri Kapali Temple on R. K. Mutt Road because it is at this spot that many people stop and offer prayers.
He says that the spot, south of the bus shelters, allows people to have a clear view of the temple and its gopurams and that, through the day, people who cannot make it to the temple, stop here and say a prayer.
But the location of the bin makes this is a smelly place.
He says he has told the Urbaser supervisor and GCC staff to move the bin away; it is done for a day and then it gets back to the original spot.
“They must understand the reason for this request,” says Karthik, who shared the photos.
