Giri Trading Agency Private Limited hosted the launch of its latest publication, “Lakshmi’s Kambaramayanam”, authored by poet Lakshmi Ravi, under its publishing division Giri Books Publications.
The launch event was held on the weekend at Giri Hindu Shopping Mall in Mylapore.
Dr. R. Uma Bharathi, a noted scholar and a descendant of mahakavi Subramania Bharathi released the book and spoke.
Lakshmi Ravi, the author of the book, presented the essence of her work — a contemporary, authentic poetic rendition of sage Valmiki’s Ramayana as reimagined by Kamban. She said the book aims to make the epic accessible and relatable to readers of all ages, especially students and seekers of devotional literature.
