On Tuesday, May 27,iIn a daring Incident in Kesava Perumal Koil South Street ( formerly Arisikkaran Street ) a maid named Indira attempted to rob an elderly woman she was working for.
Rajeswari, 81, had employed Indira.
She said that when she was alone, Indira attempted to assault and rob her of her jewels.
Hearing her screams, Vaishnavi an engineering graduate who resides nearby,
rushed inside the house where she found the maid was assaulting the senior.
With the help of her brother, they detained the maid and informed Mylapore police station . Police officials quickly arrived at the spot, sent Rajeswari to Isabel’s Hospital and detained the maid.
Police said that the maid confessed to her act and jewels she had grabbed were recovered.
