Dr T G Vinay, managing director of Metrowater ( CMWSSB) made a visit on May 10 morning to Mylapore along with his executive engineer Suresh ( of zone 9) to inspect the drinking water booth which is proposed to be installed on South Mada Street opposite Sangeetha Hotel.
Dr Vinay said that the drinking water will be available to people free. But people will have to use small tumblers or bottles to collect the water but bulk withdrawal will not be allowed.
This facility will be operational soon.
It is said that similar water booths are to be set up at busy points across the city.
